DECOY

Decoy is a four piece party/rock band that prides itself on excellent musicianship and entertaining live performances. The group has a great degree of versatility, being able to perform as a quiet acoustic act, all the way to an energetic rock band. Decoy has been in residence at Crown/Burswood Casino since 2002 and performed at many major corporate events with artists such as The Hoodoo Gurus, James Reyne, Shannon Noll, Justice Crew and more.

Decoy is suitable for corporate functions, private functions and parties, and live entertainment. They are also available as duo and trio for smaller gigs, or where background, dinner, and more ambient music is required.

Decoy is the ideal band for audiences from 18yo – 60+yo.

DECOY LINE UP

Katey Gabel –Vocals
A young and vibrant vocalist who really enjoys the stage. She is a recent graduate of WAAPA and her versatility has enabled her to become a very in demand singer in the industry. Katey regularly performs in styles ranging from lounge/soul, through to classic rock as a live performer and recording artist.

Shayne Savic – Guitar
Shayne has performed in many of Perth’s most well-known bands. A multi-instrumentalist, he has recorded for national TV commercials and played the international musical “Mamma Mia” at the Burswood Theatre in 2010. He is currently a lecturer on the contemporary music faculty at the Western Australian

Vinnie Crea – Drums
Vinnie is a well-known and respected drummer having toured and recorded with some of Australia’s most successful artists both locally and nationally. He is the course coordinator for the Contemporary music artists’ course at the Western Australian academy of Performing arts.

Joe Powell – Bass
Joe has recently graduated his Bachelor of Contemporary music and fusion music at WAAPA. His enthusiasm and vocal ability add to Decoy’s sound and live performance. Joe has performed in many bands at venues nationally as touring musician well as theatre productions at the Regal Theatre

Decoy provides a fun, interactive party atmosphere with a wide range of well executed music spanning six decades – guaranteed to be enjoyed by all!
